Sometimes getting broken gives you strength

WOW! Marion Cotillard recorded a song :D I’m so happy and am constantly listening to the song. It’s called ‘The Strong Ones’ and is available for listening and downloading on Love.Cartier.Com in the section LOVE Music. Parts of the proceeds of selling LOVE bracelets are going to various charities around the world apparently. Congrats Marion! Keep going on!

Other than that I’ve watched the complete series of ‘Bones’ and am totally in love with it. I love the character of Dr. Temperance Brennan and her relationship with Booth. And isn’t the humour in the series the greatest?!

CBS cancelled Moonlight. I was so sure it would get renewed I was really shocked - as was the cast. They’re trying to get it picked up by another TV outlet…. Keeping my fingers crossed. But should by some unfortunate turn in the bumby road ‘Moonlight’ has been on ever since its beginnings Sophia be no longer part of the series I won’t watch. What’d be the point?! Esp. since I was getting the impression Alex was a bit bland and Beth more and more only just Mick’s accessory. Anyway, far too early to write this chapter off and to be really critical. Let’s wait & see.

As of Friday I won’t have my regular internet connection anymore. Just so you know. On Saturday I’m moving house and will then have to figure out how to set up internet. I’m really excited to start a new chapter in my life! As of Thursday I now am also a proud owner of a car :D Though I’m not sure how wise the decision was to get a car seeing as how prices for gas are only increasing…

Sense & Sensibility

Recently watched the new BBC adaptation. I really really loved it. But Kate Winslet will always remain my favourite Marianne Dashwood. There are many other things I loved in the Ang Lee version - but as a whole I’ve never really been happy with the ages of the actors… I love this new version especially for its feeling as a whole, for its visuals and for its locations - and especially for its soundtrack! And isn’t Hattie Morahan simply the best? I loved her as Elinor Dashwood.

Marion won a BAFTA! I’m soooo happy :) February 10 is quickly becoming a great date for Marion. Last year she performed 2 Piaf songs live on TV, this year she won a BAFTA plus appeared in The New York Times Magazine’s Oscar Portfolio. I myself like the date February 10 too lol

Oh, and as much as I loved the previous layout I never really felt it worked as a blog layout. I was absolutely craving something new, something simple - and I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it.

Ashes 2 Ashes

In reference to the post title.

Honestly, I don’t know how I should manage with everything! Marion is everywhere right now - but in a good way, I think, more like subtly everywhere - which is absolutely lovely because there’s all this fantastic coverage. It’s just trying to find all the various pics and especially digging up videos is so time-consuming…

I still need to finish the Projects section on the Sophia website, it’s coming along great, and in my opionion it will be a great information source, but, again, it is a time-consuming task. I still need to finish writing the transcript of the Fan Q&A, as well as the re-write of the biography and re-add all the affiliates.

Even though, I’ve decided to keep Catalina I have not once worked on it this year - shame on me - but am reluctant to talk to 2 people who asked to help out/take over the site. Don’t know what they want really. But I want to continue to be involved, so no fears there, but I sure can use some help.

The upcoming projects - well, I don’t think I should even contemplate them right now. But they might end up as some kind of mini-site or whatever…

I never seem to muster up the necessary motivation to keep working on sites day after day in all my free time - don’t know if that’d be a good idea to start with. So I watched Season 2 of Life on Mars this week. Even though, the way the ending left everything doesn’t clear up all the questions and plot ‘holes’ I love the series. It’s really cool and intelligent. I so envy UK residents who can watch the sequel Ashes to Ashes as of this Thursday. I have a feeling it might be even better. Keeley Hawes? I think she’s great. I think I’ll have to try to find a way to watch this as well.

Oh, and I’ve been watching YouTube videos again… Isn’t this making you fall in love with Moonlight? Watch

Heath R.I.P

This is so sad I really can’t find the right words. Apparently, Heath Ledger died this afternoon. He was a fantastic actor and I was always looking forward to seeing him in a project - he seemed like a great person.

Jumping up and down!

Not literally…. but I’m super excited - even though we don’t get any picture/video galore - that Marion won Best Actress at the Golden Globes!!!!

None of my other favourites won anything - but I’m only really sad that Ruth Wilson lost to Queen Latifah. But then, I haven’t seen her performance - it really might be better, who knows? I remain in love with Jane Eyre and Ruth’s performance especially!

Julie Christie won - thank goodness she was in another category than Marion lol - and I really should watch Away From Her. It is sitting right next to me here on the desk… But with me being super busy sites-wise I seem to not be able to watch any movies unless I’m at a friend’s place.

I’m sure Ellen Page is fabulous in Juno. Even though I have not seen much of her work - it is simply not easily available here - I have always had a soft spot for her. Not least because she’s almost as small as I am hehe. But when it comes down to Ellen or Marion I’ll chose Marion. I wish the two weren’t eligible to be nominated in the same year - or in the same category :(

Bring the Oscars on - and I really want to see some glamour this time around! Surely, having actors etc appear on stage - and on TVs the world over -  and mentioning the writers’ agenda in their acceptance speeches wouldn’t hurt the strike?!?!
