Seeing Riikka’s post about James at the Venice Film Festival I remembered how I’ve been meaning to make a Sexiest Men post since Mycah posted hers. Ok, I’ve never been the kind of female who couldn’t contain herself when seeing an attractive male (lol) and I still find it hard to maintain feelings of being attracted to someone if I don’t really know the person. However, here’s the list of famous men that I think have something special about them, in no particular order:

Robert Redford
He’s got to be at the top of this list. He’s beautiful no matter what age and has amazing charisma. I absolutely love his character in Out of Africa - though I know I’d hate to be in love with that type of man in real life. But his adventurer is so intriguing. Obviously, I love watching his earlier films - when he was a lot younger - but I think he’s aged really gracefully. These days I’d say I’d be proud to have him as my granddad. I’d love to look at pictures in his photo-album and imagine what it must have been like to meet him etc.

Wentworth Miller
Gay or not gay - he’s definitely hot! Maybe it’s just I loved Prison Break so much, but he’s got the most amazing stare & eyes. I love how he’s both tough and vulnerable in the show.

Mark Ruffalo
If he’s in a movie I need to see it! Sometimes he may at first have the appearance of a ‘teddy bear’ but really, he’s very sexy. And comes across as understanding and makes me wish to meet someone like him (hehe). He was by far the best thing about Flight Girls and all his other movies he’s been in (13 Going on 30, My Life Without Me, Just Like Heaven, You Can Count On Me being my favourites, I suppose)

john.jpg

John Cusack
He’s really great. He’s cool, sexy, down-to-earth, funny etc etc. I try to watch all the movies he’s in. He can deliver the most amazing and long lines (Must Love Dogs) with such an amazing skill I could listen to him all day long. Other favourites include Runaway Jury, Serendipity and Pushing Tin. His pictures don’t nearly enough convey his presence, they simply don’t do him justice.

Ryan Gosling
There is something sooo attractive about his pensive & knowing demeanor and especiall his intensity. And his mysteriousness. He’s at his best in The Notebook (The love scenes in that film remain my favourite ones I’ve seen on screen). I suppose when it comes to him I’m become something which comes close to a fangirl lol

Jonathan Zaccaï
Now that’s the only guy I’m listing even though I’ve only seen him in one film and not really looked him up on the net - I plan to rent some more of his films, though. So, probably I should dedicate this entry to his character Mark in Toi et moi rather than to him. He’s just great. A man of world and an artistic musician, yet approachable. I think it’d be amazing to spend a rainy Sunday morning lazily with him.

Roger Federer
Don’t really need to say much more. I love looking at pictures of him. Impressive!

stephane.jpg

Stéphane Lambiel
He’s gorgeous - though his features are maybe a bit too much on the boyish side. Though less and less so, he’s becoming a real man. He’s really graceful on the ice and gives really powerful and emotional performances.

matthew.jpg

Matthew Macfadyen
Especially when he was younger and in Spooks he’s absolutely gorgeous. I also love his Mr. Darcy. His eyes and voice are breath-taking. Other than that I mainly consider him one of the greatest actors ever.

james.jpg

James McAvoy
He’s a talented actor and beyond gorgeous! I’ve been kind of following his career (and looking at pictures of him ) since Inside I’m Dancing. Can’t wait to see Becoming Jane (no, I still haven’t seen that one) and Atonement!

Other mentions: Emile Hirsch, Shia LaBoef, Richard Armitage, Anthony LaPaglia, Edward Norton, Gerard Butler, Clive Owen, Joaquin Phoenix, Tom Hollander, Ethan Hawke (not so much anymore since he’s become so skinny)

Pretty boys that had me at first but because I didn’t see more in them (such as sense of humour, real charisma etc etc) lost interest pretty quickly. But I still think they take a good picture: Orlando Bloom, Hayden Christensen, Chad Michael Murray, Channing Tatum, Oliver James

I love reading these lists, and especially love your little reasons why, they are beautifully written and make me appreciate the person more hehe. I so agree about Ryan Gosling and The Notebook’s love scenes most of all, and I think John Cusack is a great actor and I LOVE his voice!

Everyone is on the Gay Wenty wagon this week LMAO.

No Gaspard Ulliel? I’m shocked and apalled!
LOL, I’m just messing with you hun.

I totally adore Mr. McAvoy, though. Dude is quite the looker, and such a talent. I cannot wait to see him in Penelope. That man can make me giggle by just looking at him.

:) I love Gaspard as an actor very much - but he doesn’t make me drool over him, thus he’s not on the sexiest list…. He reminds me too much of my brother lol
