Sleepless
Saturday, June 24th, 2006 | Random | No Comments
I really wouldn’t have minded at all had Switzerland lost last night. (I’m talking about soccer…) Then finally we’d have it a bit more quiet around here. Last night I was really looking forward to a good night’s sleep. But no, at around 11pm the honking started - and someone was woken up… It continued at least until midnight. When I once again woke up I decided to close the window - and spend the rest of the night in a hot bedroom, but at least sleeping!
Jeux d’enfants

I watched Jeux d’enfants again. This is a movie I just don’t get. Someone please explain! Well, noone can, I know. And we’re not supposed to explain it. And I do get the symbolism etc. But I’d be happier if it were a more definite story…. I love Marion Cotillard, though.
Current favs: Just Like Heaven (movie), Home (The Corrs), my sister (friend), Marion Cotillard (hottie)
Where Rainbows End
Friday, June 9th, 2006 | Book | No Comments
4.5 hours - that’s what it took me to read ‘Where Rainbows End’ by young Irish writer Cecelia Ahern. It’s an excellent book - I love it so much!!!
Current favs: The Abduction Club (movie), Bring You Home - Ronan Keating (album), Where Rainbows End (novel), sleeping (occupation), soccer world cup (hate)
About hating the soccer World Cup: it only starts today…… how much more will I hate it over the next weeks. Everywhere I turn - TV, radio, shops, newspaper, ads, streets, bus - everything’s connected to this oh so big event. In general I don’t have anything against it - but I just hate anything that’s being turned into something much bigger than it really is!
Sparkhouse
Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 | Film | No Comments
I watched Sparkhouse - an excellent BBC mini series. But however excellent, brilliantly acted, well-made and what else more this is, it is a rather disturbing piece of film. I never was fond of the Wuthering Heights story - it’s just too over the top to have moved me. This now is inspired by the Wuthering Heights story - but it’s really a different plot. But the two main characters are madly passionately in love. And this comes over so well that you’re immediatly drawn in and moved by the story and in the end you’re almost as shattered as the characters.
