Goya’s Ghosts

Monday, December 4th, 2006 | Film | No Comments

I went to see ‘Goya’s Ghosts’. Maybe not the right film for me at the moment - cheering up would do me much more good. However, this film is very well-made, features excellent performances and the always stunning Natalie Portman. It’s been a while since I’ve last seen her in something (I have yet to see Closer and V for Vendetta) so that felt good. But seeing how the church acted during these times just makes you feel angry and sad. The fate that Ines and Alicia suffered would have so not been necessary.

Modern Technologies

I’m in ranting mood. Not only am I pissed to be working full-time these two weeks (immediately after my holiday….) but I’m getting boring work chores. Then it’s raining, the weather forecast indicates cold and more rain and it’s still dark when I get up in the morning.

On top of all that everything that’s connected to my internet existence seems to be flawed. Absolutely Sophia Myles was down for 1.5 weeks (but at least I knew all the content was still somewhere) then it works for 2 days and is now completely gone (I can’t log into anything anymore). The seethesun.org email address is bouncing all sorts of emails as spam (that are NOT at all), the Matthew Macfadyen fans are all just a crazy bunch that don’t really encourage me to go on, I’ve forgotten the Gallery password for the Anna Paquin fansite, and here at SeeTheSun the comments are being flooded with spam despite my precautions…… Is it a sign that internet is really not the place to get too involved in?!

Wedding Crashers

I watched ‘Wedding Crashers’ recently - and I’m so disappointed! I only watched it for Rachel McAdams and she was about the only good thing of this movie. Usually, I also like Owen Wilson - but here, he couldn’t save the movie. Somehow the movie isn’t really one piece of work, more like 2 or 3. And for my taste, the jokes were too far beneath dignity….
