New Layout

Here it is! Finally! I bought this gorgeous looking design from Stargazer Designs almost an eternity ago hehe but never got round to coding it. Today I really should have cleaned my apartment - instead I really felt like coding so here we go (Guess tomorrow’s still time enough to do RL chores). What do you think? I’m realy proud of it because it’s the first time ever I’ve coded something using only <div> containers. Yay!

Can’t You Just Adore Her

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

This morning, I had a hard time getting up - as on any other day actually - and had to rush to get to the office not only on time but also a bit earlier - to make good on my overall presence time. So, I decided not to wash my hair. I really should have done so, though. Who did I meet on my way to work? My latest crush :blushes: Well, that sounds as if I have a new one every other week. Actually, I really don’t. It is really rather rare for me to develop those hehe. In this case I feel like for the first time in a long time it actually even might be something for real?! I am convinced that starting a relationship when you’re at some sort of lowpoint in your life/are in the process of changing some things in your life/only just starting to fight some personality traits etc is very unwise. Anyhow, loving the song Can’t You Just Adore Her? (it suits my situation very well) and despite everything I’m hopeful…

Winter has arrived

Friday, November 16th, 2007

Ok, winter has officially arrived. It’s been snowing here for days (though it doesn’t exactly cover everything here in the lower regions) and temperatures are constantly around the freezing point - with an icy & strong northern wind making it feel a lot colder.

I’m behind on updating my sites. I think I really should add some long overdue stuff to the Marion site. Maybe on Sunday. Or tonight. We’ll see.

Why can’t the relevant stuff I want to find for the sites just come to me? Lately, I’ve had the feeling that researching news etc. for actors has become a lot more nerve-racking. Well, that’s maybe not the exact word. But somehow I get the feeling the same news/fact is getting recycled a million times and other stuff is almost lost among that. And by the time I’m done catching up on the latest information available in all the various places I’m usually too tired to do a proper update anymore.

Also, it annoys me (though I really shouldn’t mind) how fans/other people take some recycled facts as proper ’straight-from-the-horse’s-mouth’ facts… And assume that something being reported happened just the day before - when in fact it happened weeks/months ago. And in most cases proper reading of the recycled article would be enough to figure that out… I think I need a break - I start to be upset by a number of ‘unreal’ stuff happening online. How lame!

North & South

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

I re-watched North & South for about the 10th time in its full length (I’ve given up counting how many times I’ve seen the last episode or the final scene or other parts of it). Although it runs over 4 hours the time seems to just fly by. This is such a great mini-series and I can so recommend it. I can’t think of anything negative to say about it. Sometimes I wish I wouldn’t re-watch it so often - it always makes me want to watch it all over again and again lol.

Anyway, I found this absolutely amazing fan-video (truly well-made, I’m lost for words) by talented HeathDances on YouTube: (more…)

Ways to pass the time

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

Many thanks to Jane to convince me I really need to watch Pushing Daisies. I don’t have enough words to describe what I think of the show - it is soo beyond amazing and fantastic and cute! Lee Pace where have you been all my life?! Lol, just kidding - maybe. But really, everyone is great in the show + it’s a great idea for a series and is very well-scripted.

The other series I’m still very much addicted - actually becoming more and more so - is Moonlight. Obviously, I’d watch anything that has Sophia in it but Alex O’Loughlin is quite something, too! He’s amazing. While I certainly am enjoying ML on a different level than PD - the 2 are too different in genres&concept - I think I love them both equally. Some people are calling ML their guilty pleasure - but I don’t feel guilty at all to love it! lol I’m usually not a fan of ‘Fan-Vids’ on YouTube but it’s probably due to the sheer abundance of creative efforts inspired by Moonlight that there are some I really like. Watch in full story. (more…)
