Enjoying the Sun

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 | Personal, Sites

We’ve been having some fantastic weather for the longest time. Clear blue sky and sunshine - but it’s freezing cold. Anyway, it’s doing wonders for the mood. On the other hand, the extremely dry air has lead to serious Fine Particulate Matter. For 10 days now it’s been extremely high: 95 (up to 50 is ‘normal’).  I’ve found this comment for levels between 50-99: “People with respiratory disease should limit prolonged exertion”. I suffer from something one could call allergy-induced asthma and only show sypmtoms when fine particular matter levels are high, as they are now - or pollen are in the air. Which of course they are currently as well - the warm weather in January has led to some early blooming. So additionally, my eyes & nose are all itchy. Still, I enjoy going out and do some walking - but I’m paying the price in the evening after moderate exercise or right after some heavier excercise (such as walking up a hill). Coughing, coughing, coughing… Maybe I should add that what I consider exercise other people would never dream of calling that. It’s just regular walking around town. I think I’ll have to ask the doctor for new medicine.

Site wise: I’ve managed to get a ton of scanning done for the Marion site. I’ve finished adding all the portrait sessions I have and am about 2 thirds through adding video clips & screencaps of recent interviews and public appearances. I intend on finishing all of that before the César & Oscar awards this weekend.

My computer, while still working, has recently been behaving weird. So I’m doing much of the capping, encoding & scanning off-line and when I do go online I’m not running MSN. So if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been that’s what happened. I’m mostly on Gmail - so you could send me chat messages on there. Or email me. I’m currently much better at maintaining email correspondance than I usually am. Oh, and if you’re having problems reaching me at my domain emails (sophiamyles.org, seethesun.org, marion-cotillard.org) please let me know. It’d help sorting out the problem if I can be sure that there really is one.
